On 03/03/2025, a male United States Postal Service (USPS) employee, whose name has not been disclosed, was believed to have fatally shot his coworker, 27-year-old Edward "Eki" Poloka, at the USPS Processing and Distribution Center in Tukwila, Washington. Following the incident, the shooter fled. Later that morning, Seattle Police officers located his vehicle in the 10700 block of 27th Avenue South. As officers approached, they heard a gunshot and discovered him deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the initial shooting and subsequent suicide is ongoing.
