OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 03/06/2025, at approximately 2:32 p.m., Hartford Police Department officers were conducting a weapons investigation near 70 Homestead Avenue in Hartford, Connecticut. Upon contacting the subject of the investigation, the individual immediately produced a firearm. Three officers opened fire, striking the man. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. A firearm with an extended magazine was recovered at the scene. No officers were injured. The Connecticut Office of Inspector General and the Connecticut State Police Central Major Crimes Division are investigating the incident.
