OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On March 6, 2025, at approximately 7:25 PM, Nathan Kinney, a 27-year-old inmate at the Cuyahoga County Corrections Center in Cleveland, Ohio, collapsed during recreational activities. Jail staff and medical personnel responded immediately, providing medical aid before transporting him to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Kinney had been incarcerated since December 28, 2024, on charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary, following his arrest by the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an investigation to determine the cause and manner of his death.
