OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On March 9, 2025, at approximately 3:26 p.m., members of the United States Marshals Service-led Violent Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (VFAST) were attempting to locate 41-year-old Boyd Paul Brooke in St. George, Utah. A Washington County Sheriff's deputy spotted Brooke riding a stolen motorcycle eastbound on Sunset Boulevard near Dixie Drive and initiated a pursuit with lights and siren activated. Brooke failed to yield and fled at high speeds, running a stop sign and reaching speeds over 65 mph. At the intersection of 1400 West and Snow Canyon Parkway, Brooke attempted to maneuver between vehicles stopped at a red light and crashed into a black minivan. He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle had been reported stolen in 2023. The St. George Police Department is handling the accident investigation.
