On March 10, 2025, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to multiple shootings across Las Vegas. A driver was involved in a carjacking before police located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase that ended on Interstate 15 near Sahara Avenue. During the confrontation, officers opened fire, killing the driver. Two additional people were found dead at separate locations connected to the case.
