OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Toby James White, 31, was discovered unresponsive in a cell at Santa Rosa County Jail during a routine security inspection on March 13, 2025. He had been arrested for the stabbing of an elderly woman and had been in custody since February 11. He was held alone in Close Management. He was pronounced dead at approximately 2:56 p.m. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating.
