On March 15, 2025, Fullerton Police Department officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 700 block of West Orangethorpe Avenue. A 19-year-old male was reported to be threatening a family member with a knife. When officers arrived, the male held an object later determined to be a pellet gun. Police opened fire and killed him.
