OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On March 15, 2025, Forks Township Police Department officers, along with other agencies, pursued a 2016 Kia driven by a 65-year-old male from Easton, Pennsylvania. The vehicle became disabled near the intersection of North Broadway and Tribe Lane in Wind Gap Borough. Under unclear circumstances, the man shot himself, and a Forks Township police officer also fired. The man was transported to St. Luke's Anderson Campus hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Pennsylvania State Police Troop M Major Case Team and the Northampton County District Attorney's Office are investigating.
