OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On March 17, 2025, at approximately 3:50 a.m., detention officers at the Oklahoma County Detention Center found 28-year-old Michelle Marie Young unresponsive in her cell during breakfast service. Medical personnel administered multiple doses of Narcan and performed CPR before transporting her to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 4:46 a.m.
Young had been incarcerated since February 13, 2025, on a failure to appear charge related to a 2024 indecent exposure case, with a bond set at $5,000. Surveillance footage confirmed that a detention officer conducted a sight check at 2:51 a.m., approximately one hour before she was found unresponsive.
