OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 03/19/2025, at approximately 2:45 a.m., West Chester police attempted to stop a vehicle identified as stolen by a license plate reader at the intersection of Princeton Glendale Road and Provident Drive. The driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase, which reached speeds up to 105 mph before being terminated at the Hamilton County line. The vehicle was later found crashed near Glendale Milford Road and Evendale Drive, and the occupants had run. While searching, a Lockland police officer encountered a Black man walking along northbound I-75 near mile marker 14. The officer reported the man had something in his hands and alleged he was noncompliant. Police fired a Taser, but it was ineffective. Officers opened fire, shooting him in the chest. He was pronounced dead on the side of the freeway. So far, police have not publicly identified the object in his hand.
