On March 20, 2025, Upper Saucon Township police responded to a report of a man firing a gun in the 6000 block of Blue Church Road. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 66-year-old male who had reportedly fired multiple shots inside his residence. The man refused to exit the home, leading to a standoff with law enforcement. After several hours of attempted negotiations, officers entered the residence and found the man deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Lehigh County Coroner's Office is investigating the incident.
