On January 27, 2025, Dominic Hancock, 45, of Nova, Ohio, collapsed while taking a shower at the Richland County Jail, where he had voluntarily reported a day earlier due to a warrant.He was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit. A CT scan revealed a significant brain bleed attributed to hypertension. Hancock was pronounced dead on February 8, 2025. The Richland County Coroner's Office determined the cause of death to be natural, resulting from a brain hemorrhage due to high blood pressure. No autopsy was performed.
