On March 23, 2025, Murfreesboro Police responded to a domestic disturbance at a home on Goose Creek Lane. Upon arrival, officers encountered Adam Thomas Peeler, 36, who was armed with a shotgun. He pointed the firearm at officers and made verbal threats. Officers fired at Peeler, who then retreated into the home. The Murfreesboro Special Operations Unit later entered the residence and found him deceased. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation. An autopsy will determine the official cause of death.
