On March 23, 2025, a woman was found unresponsive in her cell at the Morgan County Jail shortly after 9:00 a.m. Emergency medical personnel responded but pronounced her dead at the scene. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called in to investigate. The Greene County Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting an autopsy. Her name has not been released, and no further information has been made public.
