Kenneth Edward Bailey, the rapper known as Young Scooter, died on March 28, 2025—his 39th birthday—following a police pursuit in southeast Atlanta. Atlanta Police responded to a report of gunfire and a domestic dispute on William Nye Drive Southeast. As officers arrived, two men ran from the back of the residence. Bailey attempted to escape by jumping two fences and was later found by officers with a severe leg injury. He was transported to Grady Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Fulton County Medical Examiner later ruled the cause of death as blunt force trauma. Police confirmed no officers discharged their weapons.
