On March 29, 2025, at approximately 10:30 a.m., Perry County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a domestic incident. Upon arrival, they found a woman with non-life-threatening injuries, who was transported to a hospital for treatment. Deputies engaged in communication with a male subject at the scene for about 20 minutes before he died from a self-inflicted wound. The man's identity has not been disclosed. The investigation remains ongoing.
