At approximately 1:27 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department officers attempted a traffic stop on a suspected DUI driver. The driver did not stop. Police escalated a chase that ended in the 10000 block of South Sepulveda Boulevard when the vehicle collided with a blue Honda sedan. A male passenger in the pursued vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The Honda’s driver was hospitalized.
