OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On April 16, 2025, Norwood police responded to a call about loose dogs on Montgomery Road and encountered a man and woman acting erratically in an elevator. Police said a violent and prolonged altercation occurred. The man was handcuffed, then suffered a medical emergency while en route to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and died before arrival. One officer was hospitalized with injuries. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is conducting a review.
