OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Deputies responded to reports of a man firing from a balcony at 5550 Dancy Road in northwest Houston. The man barricaded himself inside a third-floor apartment and fired shots at deputies. SWAT was called in and attempted negotiations for over two hours using drones, robots, and chemical agents. Around 10:00 a.m., the man stepped onto the balcony with a pistol pointed at officers. Four SWAT deputies opened fire and killed him. The Harris County Sheriff's Office and District Attorney's Office are investigating.
