On April 20, 2025, Prince George's County Police located a man at St. George Boulevard and Potomac Passage after he allegedly stabbed two people and set fire to an apartment on Indian Head Highway. Officers confronted the man near National Harbor about 90 minutes later. Police stated he advanced toward them with a knife, and two officers opened fire, striking him. The man was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Maryland Attorney General's Independent Investigations Division is conducting a review. The stabbing victims remain in critical condition.
