A 20-year-old man was shot and killed by a Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy on April 26, 2025, after deputies responded to a domestic violence incident on Emerald Dunes Drive. Upon arrival, deputies found the man actively stabbing his 52-year-old father with a sword. After the suspect refused commands to drop the weapon, a deputy fired, striking him. Both the suspect and the victim died from their injuries.
