OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Deputies from the Wilson County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic-related incident on Benders Ferry Road in Mt. Juliet. A man barricaded himself inside the home. After several hours of standoff and negotiation, he exited the residence and allegedly fired a handgun at deputies. Deputies returned fire and killed him. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting an investigation.
