OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On May 1, 2025, around 9:30 p.m., a Chattahoochee police officer initiated a pursuit of a 2016 Lincoln MKX SUV for a suspected drug offense on U.S. Highway 90. Police chase the vehicle until it crossed county lines into Sneads, Florida, reaching speeds of 130 mph, and the occupants were seen throwing meth and other drugs from the vehicle. The vehicle lost control turning onto Old Spanish Trail, struck a manhole, flipped, and hit construction equipment. The 40-year-as wellold male driver from Camilla, Georgia, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. A 32-year-old male passenger was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.
