OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On May 1, 2025, Orlando Police Department officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a man brandishing a firearm at a 7-Eleven on Conroy Road and nearby businesses. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Orlin Manuel Bueso Calderon, was observed waving what appeared to be a handgun at individuals in the area. Officers located Calderon in the parking lot of the Bella Vita Apartments at 4620 Cason Cove Drive. Five officers opened fire, striking Calderon, who was pronounced dead at the shooting site. The 'weapon' recovered was later determined to be a replica, possibly a BB or pellet gun. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is conducting an investigation, and all involved/shooter officers have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome.
