OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On May 5, 2025, around 11:00 p.m., Harris County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call about a man sleeping in a vehicle at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic on Cypress Woods Medical Drive. Clinic security said the man refused to leave. Deputies approached, broke a window, and deployed a Taser to extract him. After pulling him from the vehicle, they saw he was holding a large butcher knife. Two deputies opened fire and killed him. The incident is under investigation by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office and Internal Affairs.
