On May 4, 2025, Donald James, 58, was found unresponsive at the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center and pronounced dead at 11:26 a.m. He had begun serving a three-year sentence for habitual driving while intoxicated on April 2, 2025. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death. James is the fourth inmate to die at the facility since November 2024.
