OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

Tadarius Milan Hunt, 29, was wanted for the attempted murder of a Nashville Rescue Mission employee, whom he allegedly shot 11 times on May 11, 2025. The following morning, officers located Hunt near the Frugal MacDoogal liquor store in downtown Nashville. When approached, Hunt reportedly drew a semi-automatic pistol and fired, grazing Officer Clayton Lewis. Officers opened fire and struck Hunt. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is conducting an independent investigation.
