OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
A 31-year-old woman was found unresponsive in her cell at Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility around 7:25 p.m. on May 12, 2025. Jail staff initiated CPR and summoned emergency medical personnel. She was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced dead at 8:15 p.m. She had been booked on May 11, 2025, on multiple theft-related charges, including vehicle theft and resisting an officer. The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner. The Sheriff's Homicide Unit and Citizens’ Law Enforcement Review Board are investigating.
