On the evening of May 14, 2025, at approximately 9:00 PM, an on-duty Visalia police officer, operating a marked patrol vehicle, struck a pedestrian—identified by friends as Alfredo—near the intersection of Houston Avenue and Rinaldi Street. The officer and responding personnel provided immediate medical assistance. Alfredo was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
