OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On May 17, 2025, Jacksonville Sheriff's Officer Delong Zheng responded to a call on Jillian Drive regarding a man armed with knives. Upon arrival, Officer Zheng observed the man holding two knives and standing over two individuals who were on the ground and bleeding. Officer Zheng then discharged his firearm, fatally striking the man. The two individuals on the ground were transported to a local hospital with injuries. The incident is under investigation by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
