OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On May 17, 2025, at approximately 12:00 a.m., a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper attempted to stop a Suzuki GSX motorcycle for reckless driving on Shoreline Avenue. The motorcyclist, identified as 34-year-old Thomas Dehner III of Sinton, continued driving northbound on Interstate 37 through a construction zone. The chase continued until at River Road, the motorcycle ran into a Nissan Altima, ejecting Dehner from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol Office in Corpus Christi.
