On May 18, 2025, at approximately 2:20 a.m., a 21-year-old male from Fenton, Missouri, was fatally shot by a St. Charles police officer following a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Ameristar Boulevard and South 5th Street. According to police, the man exited his vehicle after the crash with a handgun. Police opened fire, striking the man. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.The incident is under investigation by the St. Charles Police Department and the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
