OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
At approximately 2:30 a.m., Douglas County Sheriff's deputies—operating in unmarked vehicles and part of a multi‑year firearms investigation—approached an SUV parked near Fontenelle Park. Several passengers fled; Ibrahim remained behind the wheel and exited the vehicle. Sgt. Jesse Ronk confronted Ibrahim and, within 17 seconds of perceiving Ibrahim pointing a gun with a tactical flashlight at him, fired four times, striking Ibrahim.Deputies found two loaded handguns—one stolen—inside the SUV. Ibrahim was transported to the hospital and later died.
