On May 29, 2025, around 2:00 a.m., Tennessee Highway Patrol attempted to stop a 2023 Toyota Camry that was speeding over 90 mph on Interstate 65. The driver did not stop. Officers escalated a pursuit that continued into Franklin. The Camry exited the interstate and crashed into a utility pole on Murfreesboro Road near South Margin Street. Kevin Ray House, 42, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was killed in the crash. The driver was injured and taken to a hospital. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating.
