Around 8:46 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a 75-year-old man on Dawes Road after he allegedly threatened to kill a woman earlier that day. The man reportedly displayed a firearm and threatened to harm himself. After extended de-escalation efforts, he allegedly pointed the gun at officers. Police opened fire and killed him. He died at the scene. Officers were placed on leave during the investigation.
