OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
LAPD Olympic Division officers responded to a shooting call around 10:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of Ardmore Avenue in Harvard Heights. Police confronted an armed man. During the encounter, officers opened fire and shot him. He was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead. Police stated they recovered a handgun and spent shell casings at the scene. No officers were injured. The LAPD is investigating and reviewing body camera footage.
