OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

At approximately 6:50 p.m. on June 5, 2025, a West Shore Regional Police officer in Wormleysburg attempted to stop a motorcycle driven by Thomas Staff for multiple traffic violations. Staff refused to pull over and fled in a high-speed pursuit onto the Interstate 81 Northbound entrance ramp in East Pennsboro Township. While attempting to enter I‑81, Staff collided with a concrete barrier and was propelled into a parked dump truck. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at Holy Spirit Hospital. The Pennsylvania State Police, including the CARS and Forensic Services units, are investigating the crash.
