OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On the evening of June 7, 2025, deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a robbery in progress in the 1200 block of Meadow View Circle, Lancaster. Approximately 15 minutes after the call, a deputy encountered a man armed with a firearm and shot him. During the exchange, the deputy was also struck by gunfire and was transported to a hospital. The man was pronounced dead on the scene. The LASD Homicide Bureau has taken over the investigation
