OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 06/09/2025, around 6:00 p.m., Howard County Police responded to a stabbing on Wilbur Court in Columbia, Maryland. Officers found a 26-year-old man suffering multiple stab wounds. The attacker, his 23-year-old brother, fled the home and was later seen standing on Oakland Mills Road holding a large double-edged spear. When he advanced, an officer opened fire, killing him. The stabbing victim was taken to Shock Trauma in critical condition. The Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division is reviewing the incident.
