OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

Around 1:20 p.m., officers from the Allen County Drug Task Force attempted to stop a white 2004 Cadillac. The driver did not stop. Officers actively chased the vehicle northbound on North Clinton Street. At the intersection with East Wallen Road, the vehicle crashed into two others. Carolyn Hutchinson, 93, was in one of the struck vehicles and later died at the hospital from her injuries. The second driver, 80-year-old Larry Van Zant, was seriously injured. The Indiana State Police is leading the investigation.
