On 06/11/2025, Gilbert Police officers responded to a welfare check for a person slumped over inside a vehicle near Lindsay Road and Guadalupe Road. Upon approach, the individual reportedly produced a firearm. Two officers opened fire and killed the person. The Mesa Police Department is conducting an independent investigation.
