OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 06/10/2025, officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving firearms at a home on the 21000 block of 880th Avenue in rural Albert Lea. A male drove away in a vehicle and was pursued by deputies into Mower County before returning to the original residence. When the man exited the vehicle, officers opened fire and killed him. A woman was found dead inside the home, believed to have died before law enforcement arrived. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is conducting the investigation.
