OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 06/15/2025, Eagan Police responded to a domestic violence call at 3660–3664 Abbey Way. A woman reported that her boyfriend had fired a gun into the ceiling overnight, assaulted her, and blocked her from leaving. When officers arrived, he barricaded himself inside the home. SWAT from Eagan and South Metro—including units from Bloomington, Apple Valley, Inver Grove Heights, Eden Prairie, Hopkins, Richfield, Edina, Minnetonka, Lakeville, Burnsville, and Crystal—bore down on the residence with pressure for 12 hours. They used armored vehicles, flash-bang devices to disorient him, drones, and remote-controlled robots to monitor the interior. A shelter-in-place order was issued for nearby residents. After no surrender and no response to commands, officers entered and found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
