OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On June 22, 2025, around 3 a.m., Lenexa Police responded to a report of an armed person at the Lenexa Crossing apartment complex. Officers located the person in a parked vehicle near the clubhouse. Police say the person fired at officers, and officers returned fire. The person was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead. The Johnson County Officer-Involved Critical Incident Investigation Team is conducting the investigation.
