OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On June 20, 2025 at approximately 8:02 p.m., a Campbell County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to initiate a pursuit of two high-speed motorcycles on Highway 14‑16 near Gillette. The deputy escalated the pursuit on Highway 450, during which Jonathan Townsend’s motorcycle, carrying passenger Amber M. Cisneros, collided with a pickup truck in the 5300 block area. Both Townsend (43) and Cisneros (44) died at the scene from crash injuries. The Wyoming Highway Patrol is investigating.
