On 06/12/2025 around 10 a.m., a U.S. Marshal from the D.C. Superior Court presence approached Marco Moseley near the Convention Center. According to Marshals, the deputy “perceived a threat,” shot him in the head, killing him. The deputy was on duty and did not sustain injuries. Family and supporters report Moseley was simply walking and/or seated in a vehicle; they say he did not pose a threat and that no weapon was found. Video shows him unresponsive on the ground while bystanders urged officers to administer first aid . The D.C.
