Adams, 52, an off-duty deputy with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, died at the crash site on June 30, 2025, when a man driving a truck suspected of fleeing a traffic stop after a suspected drug purchase crossed the center line at high speed and crashed head-on into his vehicle on Melton Road near Highlandville. His wife also died at the scene.
