Event : Motorcycle driver killed by police chase crash
OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 07/10/2025, an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper attempted to stop a Yamaha motorcycle reportedly exceeding 100 mph on Route 11 near I-80. The rider, 33-year-old Adam Mihely of Jefferson, continued into Youngstown. While passing a Ford Mustang turning left onto Division Street from Salt Springs Road, Mihely collided with the car; the motorcycle ignited and crashed. Mihely was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and died from his injuries. OSP has not named the pursuing trooper; no injuries to the Mustang driver were reported.
