OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Bernie K. Russo, 47, was involved in a domestic dispute and reportedly armed with a knife when troopers arrived. He complied with orders to drop the weapon and exited the home, then suddenly collapsed outside. Troopers placed him in handcuffs and called for emergency services. He became unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The New York State Attorney General’s Office is investigating.
