Around 6:55 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a stabbing at Valley’s Edge RV Park in Sheridan. David Erwin Jordan, 60, had reportedly stabbed two people with a large knife. When Deputy Alex Grant arrived, Jordan was still armed and allegedly advanced on the deputy. Deputy Grant opened fire, killing Jordan. Two victims were treated for stab wounds and transported to a hospital. The deputy was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation led by the Newberg-Dundee Police Department.
